
Ridiyagama safari park is the first safari park in Sri Lanka. it’s very huge park. It Spread over an area of 500 acres, the Ridiyagama Safari Park provides the animals with the opportunity to live freely. It was opened in 2016 and is the first safari park in Sri Lanka. The Park is divided into six zones, of which four are for carnivores and the other two are for herbivores.
The carnivore section is mostly home to lions, while in other regions, zebra, African buffalo, ostrich, camel, hippo, donkey, a variety of deer and an Arabian Oryx are present. You can also see endemic monkeys, wild boar, spotted deer, and palm civets.
The specialty of this safari park is that all animals can enjoy their life free. Visitors can be escorted in a safe vehicle and monitored for animal behavior. You can also seek the help of a trained guide if you need more information on animals.
