
The Pedro Tea Estate is around 3.5 km away from Nuwara Eliya .Built in 1885 and filled with 19th century engineering, the factory offers a 20-minute guided tour. As you walk through the tea plantations, you can see how tea leaf pickers select “leaves and buds”. The whole process involves grinding, grinding, rolling, fermenting, firing, and sorting / grading before packaging the bulk.
