National Art Gallery

Combo - National art gallery

The National Art Gallery is a must visit in Colombo. Many tourists visit this colorful attraction in order to enjoy the Sri Lankan culture and heritage. In Sinhala, it is called ‘National Art Gallery’. This is a fairly wide margin and is one of Colombo’s most attractive galleries. The permanent exhibition hall, the east hall and the west hall are the main sections of the gallery. Some permanent statues, models, pictures and landscapes are placed in the permanent block. Sri Lankan artists can change the rest. Artists can pay for the National Museum and reserve the West Hall / East Hall for their purposes. The west gallery is 108 x 32 feet and the east gallery is 68 x 31 feet.

The National Art Gallery is a great place to discover the culture of Sri Lanka. This is a great opportunity for young artists and those who don’t have the opportunity to showcase their talent. If you book a gallery from the west or east, the authority will do your best to make your exhibition a success. Generally, the National Art Gallery is attended by respected artists. They even perform at the venue and praise the upcoming artists. Exceptional young art students, emerging artists, join hands to illustrate perennial work.

The walls are decorated with hundreds of beautiful colors and decorative canvas. Sometimes we may not understand the design, we may seek advice from administrators or responsible artists. To make a reservation, you must fill out an application form from the Art Division of the Head Office of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The exhibition must be approved by the Sri Lanka Arts Council and the Colombo Municipal Council. Duly completed forms should be submitted to the Director of Cultural Affairs with the approval of the Sri Lanka Arts Council. There is no fee associated with the application. Reservations can be made by visiting the department during office hours. If you want to see art in its true form, this is the best place for visit in Sri Lanka.
