
Independence Memorial Hall ( Independence commemoration hall) built for commemoration of the Independence of Sri Lanka from the British Rule. This building designed by a group of eight architectures on February 4, 1949. That group lead by Tom Neville and Wynne Jones. F.H.Billimoria, Shierly de Alwis, Oliver Weerasinghe, Homi Billimoria, Justin Samarasekara, and M.B.Morina include this group. This building based on the architecture of the Audience Hall(Magul Maduwa) in Kandy.
Most of the visitors are missed the museum in the Independence Memorial Hall and it’s a pretty nice place to relax in Colombo, especially evening.
